Edit a completed workout and add photos or video
Fix a saved workout from your history, see which fields you can change for strength, manual cardio, and GPS cardio, and attach edited photos or video.
A saved workout is not frozen. If you logged the wrong weight, forgot a lap, or want to add a photo from the session, you can edit it from your history. What you can change depends on the workout type, and in particular whether cardio was recorded with GPS.
How do I start editing?
Go to Profile, open Workout History, and tap the workout. On the summary, tap the menu, then Edit Workout.
Where you land depends on the workout:
- Strength workouts open in the active workout editor first.
- Cardio workouts open directly on Review, because that is where the editable cardio details live. Use the back button from Review if you need the active workout screen.
What can I change on a strength workout?
In the active workout editor you can update exercises, sets, reps, weights, rest, and exercise notes. Then continue to Review for notes, effort, media, and the final save.
What can I change on cardio without GPS?
For treadmill runs, stepper sessions, and other non-GPS cardio, stay on Review. You can update the total distance or duration, open Lap Performance, and add, remove, or edit lap distance, lap time, and lap type.
Why can't I change a GPS route?
For GPS cardio, the recorded route points and route-derived values stay locked: distance, duration, pace, steps, elevation, and map data. That keeps the map and route data consistent with each other.
You can still change the workout title, start date and time, gym, public visibility, effort level, notes, media, supported video links, and lap type labels. Relabeling a lap as a warmup or cooldown after the fact is allowed.
How do I add photos or video?
On Review, scroll to Session Media.
- Tap Add Photos or Videos when the area is empty, or the small + when media is already attached.
- Choose photos or videos, up to the remaining available slots.
- Hold and drag thumbnails to set the order.
- Use the remove button on anything you do not want saved.
Can I mark up a photo before saving?
Yes. After media appears in the strip, tap the small smiley button on a thumbnail to open the media editor. Depending on the item, you can add stickers or text, crop, blur, draw, or use other enabled tools. Blur is useful for faces in the background or a screen you would rather not share.
Videos can need an upload or processing step before every edit option is available. If an item says it is still processing, wait for it to sync and reopen the editor.
How do I save?
Tap Save Workout, or Save when editing. TandemFit saves the workout details right away and uploads any new or edited media. The workout returns to your history with the changes.
Practice first
There are walkthroughs for both editing and workout media. The media walkthrough opens a Review demo so you can try adding, editing, and reordering. Find them in Profile, Settings, FAQ, or tap the ? in the Review title bar for smaller walkthroughs on details like privacy, effort, notes, and video links.
Once a workout looks right, you can share it; see the athletes page for how TandemFit fits training with friends and coaches.
