Coaching sessions, workout tags, and tracking in TandemFit

Record a class or personal training session, let each athlete save a workout or accept a tag, and review routes, laps, and weather.

A coached workout involves more than one person, but each person needs a record they can trust. TandemFit lets a coach record a strength or cardio session for a class or for individual clients. When the coach saves the session, each athlete receives a workout request. They can review what was logged before deciding whether to save it to their own history.

Record a class as it happens

For a class, the coach chooses a workout template and the people taking part, then records sets or laps as the group trains. The coach can include their own workout too. Saving the session sends a request to each participant; it does not place a workout in anyone else's history automatically.

Everyone receives their own copy to review, even though the coach ran one class session.

Keep personal training records separate

Personal training starts with active coaching clients. A coach can use a strength or cardio template, record a separate workout for each client, and mark sets complete as each person finishes. The session screen keeps those client records together while the coach works through the workout.

Each client still chooses what to do with the request after the coach saves. GPS routes cannot be recorded on someone else's behalf.

Save the workout or accept a tag

The athlete can save the offered sets or laps as their own workout. If they only want to acknowledge training together, they can accept the tag without adding a workout or totals to their history. They can also link a workout they already recorded, avoiding a duplicate, or decline the request.

A pending request is private. After the athlete responds, their workout association is shown only to people allowed by their sharing choices.

See what happened across the workout

For your own outdoor runs, walks, and rides, TandemFit keeps the recorded route with available distance, duration, pace or speed, and lap details. Laps can distinguish a warmup, a regular stretch, an interval, and a cooldown. That gives an interval session more shape than a single total time and distance. Indoor cardio uses activity-specific measures rather than a GPS route.

TandemFit also records weather for a completed workout when conditions are available. Looking back at temperature and conditions alongside pace or effort can help you notice patterns across sessions. Compare several similar sessions before attributing a pace change to heat.

One log, with the athlete in control

The coach records what happened in the session. The athlete decides whether that record joins their history. On days they train on their own, they can use the same workout log to review routes, lap types, and available weather. Coaching access and template options depend on account role.
